Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable capabilities across a wide range of natural language tasks. Their success has significantly sped up the progress of AI. However, this rapid advancement also brings with it a host of challenges: issues of interpretability, factual reliability, and cognitive alignment. In this presentation, I offer a reflection on LLMs through the lens of cognitive computing and explainable AI. By bridging insights from human cognition and computational design, I explore how AI can be guided toward more human-centric development.
